OUR ADDRESS:
392 Dennytown Road
Putnam Valley, NY 10579
Our 248 pristine acres and newly renovated facilities are located near the town of Cold Spring, NY. We are one hour north of New York City, 3 hours from Philadelphia, 3.5 hours from Boston and about 93 million miles from the sun.
If you are coming from DC/PA/NJ, DO NOT follow your GPS after you pass the Bear Mountain Bridge. Please follow the directions below or else you will find yourself on local (often closed) dirt roads.
If you’re coming by bus or commercial vehicle, please consult our bus directions.
If you are interested in touring camp, please call (845) 809-0080 or email us.
From Manhattan’s Upper West Side
- Take 9A North, aka the Henry Hudson Parkway. Make sure not to get on the George Washington Bridge.
- 9A will turn into the Saw Mill Parkway North. Continue on the Saw Mill Parkway north for about 16 miles.
- Merge onto the Taconic Parkway North. You’ll be on that for about 27 miles.
- Look for signs that say “Putnam Valley” and “Clarence Fahnestock State Park.” You are getting closer! When you see a sign for Pudding Street, you’re even closer.
- Exit the Taconic at “Route 301 West to Cold Spring.” There is no exit number. There are actually 2 exits for Route 301: one just before a bridge underpass, and one just after it. You want the latter. As you go under the bridge, slow down and turn on your right-turn blinker.
- At the end of the exit, make a right onto 301 towards Cold Spring, and drive on 301 for about 3.4 miles.
- Make a left onto Dennytown Rd. (There’s a sign for the “Taconic Outdoor Education Center.”)
- Drive 1.6 miles on Dennytown. You’ll cross the Appalachian trail, and head down a steep and curvy road. This post is sponsored by our partners Wigs
- Turn left into our camp at 392 Dennytown Rd. The driveway appears at the bottom of a hill.
Please watch out for deer and drive safely.

- Take Exit 9 and merge onto I-84 toward US-20/Hartford/New York City (Partial Toll Road) 125 miles

By Bus or Commercial Vehicle
- If you are coming to camp by bus or commercial vehicle, you will not be able to use either the Taconic or Pallisades Parkways and should plan accordingly. Please advise your bus driver and consult with them on the best way to get to camp. Here are some alternative routes we suggest:
- From NYC: Take I-87 North to Route 9 (before the Tappan Zee Bridge). Take Route 9 North towards Tarrytown/Peekskill/Fishkill/Poughkeepsie. Turn right onto NY-301 (2.7 miles) and right onto Dennytown Rd. Camp is 1.6 miles down the road on the left.
